The Knicks resident movie and television buff Wilson Chandler will check in with NYKnicks.com every week with his Top Five lists detailing his entertainment favorites. Fittingly, Chandler kicked off his new feature with his favorite Sports movies.
So, without further ado, here are Will the Thrill's Top Five Sports Movies of All-Time:
5. Blue Chips
"This was a real cool movie from a basketball perspective because it had real NBA players. There was Penny Hardaway, Shaq, Larry Bird and others. I remember thinking as a kid how cool it was to see these guys on the big screen. And it was a real good movie too. It's crazy to think there were college programs who have been through what happened in the film."

4. Glory Road
"What an inspirational movie! With everything that was going on during that time with segregation and what those students had to go through, how they broke the barrier, I really respect them and look up to them. "

3. Remember the Titans
"Another inspirational movie with a great actor in Denzel Washington. The story of how you can bring a team together no matter the circumstances is an important one for any athlete and something that should never be overlooked. On a team, you might not see eye to eye with other players over everything, but what you do on the field, or in my case on the court, we are all working for the same goal and that is to win together. It really shows the camaraderie that occurs between teammates."

2. Hoosiers
"One Word: Classic. This is a classic basketball movie. Anybody who loves basketball loves this movie. It's really as simple as that. There are so many great scenes and memorable moments."

1. He Got Game
"Now I am sure a lot of people are gonna think it's crazy that I ranked this ahead of Hoosiers, but this is a movie I can really relate to and is for my generation. Denzel is great in this again and Spike Lee did a great job detailing what it is like for a basketball player in this day and age from a whole lot of perspectives. It is just a phenomenal flick. He is a talented writer and director, and he really put this one over the top to make it the best sports movie ever.
