The Knicks resident movie and television buff Wilson Chandler checks in with his latest Top Five list. This week, Will the Thrill ranks his Top Five Musicians Turned Actors.
5. DMX
"DMX is really intense. He gives these great looks and conveys his emotions without even talking, which is impressive since he is a rapper so you would think he does his best work with his words. I really like his movies, too. His best movie is definitely 'Exit Wounds'. He gives a great performance in it."

"Nelly hasn't really been in many movies, but he is on this list because whenever he is on the screen he steals the spotlight. Like in 'The Longest Yard' there were great actors like Adam Sandler and Chris Rock, but Nelly hung right in there with them."

"One word - Powerful. He was taken away too soon. Everyone knows the impact he had in the rap community, but he was really starting to come into his own as an actor. He was awesome in 'Juice'. I think it is tragic we never got to see what he would have become in Hollywood."

"This is a bit different because Jamie Foxx was an actor before he was a musician really, but he is too talented and his movies are too good not to put him on here. And he ranks high. I mean, he was great in 'Ray'. It was one of the best performances I have ever seen. And he is also really good in 'Law Abiding Citizen' which you all know I really love."

'The Pursuit of Happyness'. 'Independance Day'. 'Ali'. 'Men in Black'. 'Hancock'. 'The Legend of Bagger Vance'. 'Hitch'. The list is just about endless, and so is his range as an actor. Any musician or singer who wants to get into Hollywood all aim to be like Will Smith."
