| Monday, November 9, 2009 Final Score: New Orleans 112, Los Angeles 84 Hornets Post Game Quotes
On the end of their losing streak: “We got tired of the way we were playing, we got tired of losing. There was not a whole lot of instruction this morning. We went over a couple of specific things, they had a players meeting last night but Chris [Paul] said it best: ‘Enough is Enough’.”
On tonight’s performance: “We played well tonight. We came in here wanting to win and we did. We all love to play basketball and we love to win even more. Throughout the game we were comfortable passing the ball and shooting it, we had good rhythm and our comfort level was at its peak tonight. If we continue to play like we did tonight we can win more games.”
On Baron Davis: “At the kids camp that I run I always use Baron [Davis] as one of the best guards in the NBA right now. Baron has great strength and athleticism. Coach was trying to see what we can do to stop Baron[Davis]. We transitioned and ran the ball well around the court. We made shots and our defense was good, we defended well and gave up the opportunity to win.” Clippers Post Game Quotes
On his overall Impression: “Early on during the first five minutes, we stopped doing the things we do well. We are in the top three in the league in shooting percentage, but we didn’t get enough easy baskets tonight.” On erasing the large lead: “We let them get out in transition and get easy baskets. We missed guys that were open. We had guys try to do too much by themselves and play catch-up instead of working the ball around and getting good shots.” On Chris Paul: “He is one of the toughest covers in the league, probably in the top five. He’s very good in transition and he can pick you apart when you let him get out in the open court.”
Reasons for loss tonight: “If we had made our free throws and easy looks we would have been right there. The second half they came out and made huge runs and we could not stop them. We have to stay together and continue to play hard.” On the first game after winning Player of the Week honors: “I struggled tonight. I didn’t shoot the ball badly but I missed some free throws and wasn’t active. There are going to be ups and downs in basketball so, I just have to get ready for the next game.
On the effect of losing Eric Gordon for the game tonight: “Anytime you miss a terrific scorer like Eric [Gordon], you are going to see it on the floor. He is having a terrific season and you just hope he can come back healthy.” |
